Bernadette is a busy woman in the world of academia. So when she comes home after a long day of work, it is nice for her to have an oasis of her own where she can practice her yoga and painting. Bernadette chose a 12sqm Cabana Cabin to help create this escape, and she has never looked back since!
"I use my SheShed to unwind and provide balance to my work as a University Professor. Two of my favorite activities are painting and yoga/pilates. My SheShed provides a quiet area to be energised through yoga and is the perfect space to be creative. Having a dedicated space to paint means I don't have to pack away after each session making me feel more motivated to carve out the time to do something that I enjoy."

The way in which Bernadette has created her space of creation is quite nice. She has done well with crafting it so that her cabin still has a very natural feel, which is exactly what she wanted to execute:
"My favourite aspect of the shed is the feeling of one with nature. We are on a rural residential property and have built the shed close enough to the house for easy access but far enough away to feel I'm a million miles from anywhere. There is something special about the look and feel of timber and hearing the birds and seeing other wildlife provides the best atmosphere to greet the morning before work or unwind after a long day. I especially like looking out to our nearby paddock seeing our horses grazing which another one of my favourite past times!"

We are so pleased with what Bernadette has accomplished, and love the additions of the two casement windows on either side of the cabin. Bernadette also bought these from SheShed as they match the cabin perfectly. The extra casement windows are fabulous as they open up like French doors and also bring a lot of natural light into the 3m x 4m Cabana Cabin itself. We also love how she has painted the interior of the cabin a light and airy colour, while still keeping the roof boards and beams exposed. It is a lovely and effective contrast.
