Our NZ cabin kitsets are crafted from kiln-dried Nordic spruce, carefully selected for its strength, stability and beautiful natural character. The interlocking timber wall system creates a solid structure and a warm, inviting space that you can enjoy throughout the seasons.

SheShed cabin kitsets include a roofing solution, with Coloursteel roof options available across selected models and you have a range of colours you can select from at no additional cost! Roof insulation may also be included with upgrades or added as an optional extra, depending on the cabin you choose. (Other timber cabin brands prices exclude the roof covering, which can add a significant cost later).
Double-glazed timber doors and windows are included with all our cabin kitsets, helping to provide improved comfort throughout the seasons. The exact number, size and style of doors and windows will depend on the cabin model. Selected designs also allow additional joinery to be added, giving you more flexibility when planning your space!
Our kitset cabins include the tongue and groove timber floorboards. You will still need to allow for a suitable foundation or subfloor, which is prepared before the cabin is assembled. Underfloor insulation, such as EXPOL, can also be easily installed at this stage for added comfort and enjoyment.
New Zealand weather conditions can place very different demands on a cabin. Our cabin range has been carefully selected and adapted for New Zealand conditions, with New Zealand engineering and PS1 documentation available. Depending on the cabin and location, options may include additional bracing, wind-zone components, stronger roofing specifications and coastal hardware upgrades.
Delivery costs are often overlooked when comparing kitset cabin prices. SheShed offers clear fixed shipping rates for standard delivery throughout the North and South Islands of New Zealand, helping you plan your overall budget with fewer surprises. Cabins are securely packaged and delivered as flatpack kitsets, typically by Hiab truck. Additional charges may apply for remote locations or sites with specific access requirements; we will discuss these with you before confirming your order so there are no nasty surprises.
