What you'll love about The Lake Cabin

Coming in at a very comfortable 29 square metres, The Lake Cabin is the one of the biggest kitsets in the SheShed range and due to the size, it lends itself nicely to serve multiple functions. Home office, sleep out, family retreat. Overall, it measures a spacious 7m x 5m and 3390mm high (excluding foundation), so there is plenty of space to move around.  

The walls are made from 44mm thick treated kiln dried Nordic Spruce, with the floor and roof coming in at 19mm. The thickness of the walls combined with the double glazed windows and doors mean that you are provided with a good level of insulation. 

The Lake Cabin is the only SheShed to feature a separate internal room with a solid door that can be installed on any of the internal walls, which is a fantastic feature for providing extra storage and space division options. 

We recommend that your Lake Cabin Kitset be built on a timber or steel foundation frame, or a concrete slab. SheShed offers a steel foundation kit as an optional upgrade, this is an excellent way to save time and money on building a frame from scratch. The steel foundation kit is especially helpful if your site is not flat, as it can be elevated and installed onto piles that are concreted into the ground.

Build Information for your Lake Cabin

Just like most other cabins in our range, The Lake Cabin can be built by someone with a DIY / Home Handyperson build skill level. For ease of build we recommend involving someone with sound building knowledge or trade skills. The estimated time to build this cabin is 6 to 12 days and we recommend having two people to build it.
