You've looked at our socials, you've gone through the website, you've decided which SheShed is right for you and now you're ready to invest in a SheShed kitset cabin – what happens now? We want to make every step of the process as easy as possible so let us talk you through it from purchase to delivery, completion and everything in between.
At the start of their SheShed journey, we find that nearly all customers have some questions they'd like answered before they go ahead with their purchase, and we love it when you have questions because it means we can help to find the SheShed that best suits your needs.
Some of the most common questions we get are around things like the foundation and insulation, build time, difficulty, options and cost, suitability for your property and Council approvals, furniture placement/fitment, weathering and painting.
We like to make it easy for people to communicate with us and so we have several options for how you can get in touch with us to answer your questions, these include phone, email, live chat and social media, or you can even visit us in person at our office in Nelson or Katoomba. We also have an extensive list of FAQs available on our website, take a look at them here.
Once all your questions have been answered and you're ready to make your order we will send through a proposal outlining the cost of the cabin plus any optional upgrades you've selected.
To proceed you have two options.
Option one: Make a 50% deposit, this enables us to secure the stock for you, we then work with you on the timeline for delivery. This option often works really well for those people who may have land to clear to make space for their SheShed, or perhaps you still need to arrange a builder or need to work with your builder's availability.
Option two: Make payment in full. If you select this option we will arrange for prompt dispatch of your SheShed so you can get to building right away.
Payments can be made online on the SheShed website, over the phone or via bank transfer.
When final or full payment has been received and your SheShed kitset cabin is ready for dispatch our Warehouse Manager will be in contact with you. They will confirm your delivery address, arrange freight and provide you with an ETA for delivery.
This is a great opportunity to ask any further questions you may have about delivery of your SheShed specific to your property.
It's important to note, SheShed cabins are quite a big bulky item and come packed on pallets. The pallets are packed in such a way as to protect the doors and windows and therefore are not packed in build order.
Now that your SheShed has arrived it's time to build! Woohoo! Whether you're DIY building your SheShed or you want to save time and hire a builder or handy person to build it for you, each and every SheShed comes with easy to follow step by step instructions on how to build.
We also offer great phone support throughout the build process and encourage anyone who is building a SheShed to contact us at any stage during the build with any question you may have, big or small, we're always happy to answer.
One of the things we enjoy the most about the whole process of buying a SheShed is when we get to see our customers completed builds! Take a look at our social media pages and you'll see that we LOVE getting (and sharing) lots of photos and videos from our customers showing their completed cabins.
You'll usually be encouraged to share these photos during our after-care call, where your SheShed consultant will contact you to follow up and see how the build went and take on any feedback you may have. And if you've invested in a SheShed for your business, we’d love to support you by sharing your SheShed photos and business on our social media pages.
It's always so inspiring to see how you've decorated and styled the interior, what look you decided to go with for the exterior and how the SheShed fits into your life and has solved the problem that you had in the first place and was the reason you were looking for more space to begin with.
