This one has been in the works for a little while now and we are thrilled to announce it's finally here – The SheShed Steel Roof Kit optional upgrade for all our pitched roof cabins.
If you’re looking for a way to enhance the durability, functionality, and style of your SheShed, our new Steel Roof Kit is the perfect optional upgrade. Designed to give you an alternative to our standard inclusion asphalt roofing tiles, this high-quality New Zealand-manufactured steel roofing kit is built to withstand the elements while providing added benefits like improved insulation and longevity.
There's no denying we love our asphalt shingle roofs, they are high quality and function well, but we also love having options so whether you need extra protection against high winds, want to collect rainwater, or simply prefer the sleek look of a steel roof, this upgrade offers exceptional value for money.
One of the biggest advantages of choosing the Steel Roof Kit is the ease of installation. Steel roofing is designed to be installed in large panels, and it is this design that significantly reduces the installation time. Whether you’re assembling your SheShed yourself or working with a friend or builder, this upgrade will make the process much quicker and more efficient.
The Steel Roof Kit includes literally everything you need for a high-quality, long-lasting roof. Everything from the panels to the screws and fixings and everything in between comes as part of the kit so there's no need for a quick trip down to the hardware store to get a few bits and pieces.
What you get with the kit:
You read that right! The steel roof kit comes with under-roof insulation included as part of the kit. This means year-round temperature regulation with a warm SheShed in winter and cool SheShed in summer.
When investing in your SheShed, longevity is key. The steel roofing kit is designed to last a lifetime, making it a highly durable and low-maintenance solution. It doesn't require replacement or maintenance over time, offering long-term peace of mind, ensuring your SheShed remains protected against the elements for decades to come.
If you live in an area prone to strong winds, upgrading to a steel roof is a smart choice. The robust design of the steel panels provides enhanced resistance to extreme weather conditions, keeping your SheShed safe and secure no matter where you are.
Want to make the most of natural resources? The smooth surface of the steel panels makes it an excellent choice for rainwater collection. Steel roofing ensures cleaner runoff, making it easier to gather and store rainwater for gardening or other outdoor uses.
The Steel Roof Kit is available in Grey Friars® as the default colour. If that's not the colour you're after, you can easily add on our colour selection upgrade that allows you to select from most of an extensive colour range to match your style and preferences.
Whether you’re after a sleek modern look, improved durability, or better insulation, the SheShed Steel Roof Kit is a smart investment that enhances both the functionality and lifespan of your cabin.
